Not everything in Meghan Markle’s wardrobe comes with an exorbitant price tag. After donning designer clothing worth $40,000 during her trip to the Invictus Games, she opted for a much more affordable look.
For the annual event on Tuesday, Meghan Markle chose a pleated midi dress from Banana Republic Factory, originally priced at $140 but now available for just $59.50 due to a 50% discount and an additional 15% off across the brand’s website.

The dress is available in black, a versatile choice that perfectly suited the occasion in Düsseldorf, Germany. In addition to black, the pleated dress is also available in white.
Meghan completed her look with a black belt from Bottega Veneta and Aquazzura shoes. This event marked their first joint appearance in Europe since the funeral of Queen Elizabeth in September 2022.
Meghan is not opposed to more affordable pieces in her wardrobe, as she has owned items from Banana Republic, including dresses, jeans, and basics, since at least 2017.
She is also known to appreciate brands like Madewell and J.Crew over the years, as evidenced by the navy cashmere V-neck sweater from the latter brand that she wore during her flight on Monday.
This was not Meghan Markle’s first time participating in the Invictus Games, an international event that honors wounded, sick, and veteran military personnel. In an opening speech at the 2022 Games, she praised her “amazing husband.”
The couple even made their first public appearance together at the event in 2017 when Meghan boldly wore a pair of Mother’s Looker jeans ($238), a fashionable choice that reportedly received approval from the palace.
